AMAANA DCRC for us by us

AMAANA DCRC was created to by two local moms and a board of local parents of children/young adults with special needs to meet the needs of local community families and children living with disabilities. As we grow and expand services and programs, our overhead and daily expenses increase. We turn to our community members to support our efforts to maintain existing programs and future plans to expand and serve more families. Onetime or monthly donations will go a long way to cover expenses like gas, insurance and maintenance for AMAANA van, our newest program to help transport community members with physical and orthopedic challenges to Friday prayer, family events, weddings and funerals, in addition to providing community wide resources and services.

In addition to the van, our current programs include day program for adults with disabilities, Saturday Islamic school, parent group, workshops, trainings, School and district level advocacy and much more.

You are incredible at what they do; providing our families with the support, knowledge, and wonderful resources needed to help us navigate through the school system and beyond! From attending IEP meetings with us to hosting inclusive Eid parties, we are so grateful for everything AMAANA has done (and will continue to do) for us and the community as a whole!
